What AdmitBase actually does
Every professional school publishes what its admitted class looked like — the 25th, 50th, and 75th percentile GPA and test score, the number of applicants, the number of offers. That data exists, but it is scattered across hundreds of PDF disclosures and it is written for regulators, not for the person deciding where to apply. AdmitBase collects it, normalises it, and turns it into one question answered per school: what are your odds here, with your numbers?
Enter a GPA and a test score and every school in your program is scored against its own admitted-student percentiles, then sorted Safety, Target, Reach, or Far Reach. You also get the gap — how many LSAT, MCAT, DAT, GMAT, PCAT, OAT, or GRE points stand between you and a given band — so a “reach” stops being a feeling and becomes a number you can act on. Retaking is a decision with a price; this tells you what it would buy.
Where the numbers come from
Law school figures come from ABA Standard 509 disclosures. Medical school figures come from AAMC and, for Canadian schools, from each faculty's published cohort statistics. Dental, pharmacy, veterinary, optometry, and MBA data come from ADEA, AACP, AAVMC, ASCO, and school-published class profiles. Nothing here is a survey, a crowd-sourced guess, or a scraped forum thread — each figure traces to an official disclosure, and the cycle it belongs to is shown alongside it. Our methodology sets out exactly how a percentile becomes a probability.
Who it's for
Applicants to law, medical, dental, pharmacy, veterinary, optometry, and MBA programs in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and 60+ other countries — plus the pre-health and pre-law advisors who track a caseload of them. It is most useful in the months before you finalise a list, when the choice is still open: which schools go on it, how many, and whether the balance across Safety, Target, and Reach leaves you with a realistic shot at an acceptance rather than an expensive round of near-misses.
